Through the innovative use of natural materials, Sandtoft has created a range that offers the natural good looks of slate without the cost penalties that come from installing traditional double lap products.

 

Slate Range

			Interlocking Slates	An interlocking slate can achieve a weathertight layer through the use of interlocking weatherbars.
			Traditional Format Slates	Sandtoft traditional slates are non-interlocking products designed to resemble their natural counterparts in format and shape.

Quality and Standards

• BritLock & BritSlates are certified by the BBA: Agrement Certificate no. 97/3351 applies, manufactured under quality management system BS EN ISO 9001 and meet requirements of BS 5534 and are guaranteed to remain durable for at least 30 years
• For Cassius, Rivius and Balmoral, all products comply with the requirements of BS EN 1304, manufactured under quality management system BS EN ISO 9001. All products meet the performance requirements of BS 5534 and are guaranteed to remain durable for at least 60 years

Environmental Qualities

• The switch to green electricity has enabled us to manufacture the BritLock and BritSlates in what has become the UK's first carbon neutral roof tile factory
• BritLock & BritSlate achieve an 'A' rating under the BRE Green Guide to Specification
• All remaining products in this range are rated 'A+', meaning that they have the lowest environmental impact
